The Maybach Marilyn on Stage with Jessie Lee Houllier
Share
There is nothing better than seeing a Maybach guitar out in the real world, doing exactly what it was built to do.
French guitarist Jessie Lee Houllier recently took her Maybach Marilyn to the stage and shared a short phone video from the show. The footage is raw, but that is part of the appeal. It shows the guitar in a real live setting, under the lights, being played properly.
Jessie had nothing but positive things to say about the Marilyn.
“I don’t have any criticism to make, as it’s exactly the kind of guitar I love. It arrived perfectly set up for me, despite the shipping. The weight is perfect, I wouldn’t want it any heavier. The neck profile is perfect for me, super easy to play, and the frets are perfect too. The pickups are amazing.”

In the video, Jessie is using the bridge pickup, which is her usual choice on this kind of semi-hollow model. As she explains, that makes the sound of the bridge pickup especially important.
“The bridge pickup sounds really amazing.”
Jessie was equally impressed by the guitar’s appearance and build quality.
“She is absolutely gorgeous. The finish is stunning, and the craftsmanship is first-class.”
Feedback like this is exactly what every guitar maker hopes to hear. From the factory setup and comfortable weight to the neck profile, pickups, finish and craftsmanship, the Marilyn is built to inspire confidence from the moment it’s picked up.

A huge thank you to Jessie for sharing the video and her thoughts. We love seeing our guitars on stage where they belong.
