Nick Page is the master builder behind the Maybach Custom Shop. With decades of experience and an unmistakable eye for detail, Nick crafts each instrument entirely by hand in Germany. His approach blends traditional lutherie with a refined design sense, giving every guitar its own character, voice and individuality.Nick leads a small team of artisans, shaping tonewoods, carving necks and overseeing every stage of the build. Many of Maybach’s most distinctive Custom Shop models originate from his ideas and design direction. Kian Farzar is a masterbuilder at the Maybach Custom Shop, recognised for his exceptional approach to authentic ageing and intricate inlay work. With a deep understanding of vintage instruments, Kian focuses on finishes that feel genuinely played-in, capturing the wear, texture, and subtle irregularities of original guitars rather than relying on formulaic relic techniques. Alongside this, his inlay craftsmanship has become a defining part of his work, most notably seen in the Mad Hatter Limited guitar, where complex, hand-executed inlays showcase both technical precision and artistic imagination. Working entirely by hand, Kian oversees each stage of the build to ensure every instrument carries its own character, realism, and individuality — details that go far beyond surface aesthetics.
